Francesca Vanderwall shares her story with us. Her world fell out from under her when she was 13 and her mom had an asthma attack. Her emergency inhaler didn’t work so she had to call an ambulance for her. Her mother was transported to the emergency room where Francesca was left in the waiting room to call relatives with numbers she looked up in the phone book. The day after Christmas, her Mom was declared brain dead. A custody battle ensued over the next two years between her aunt & uncle and her estranged father & his new wife.
